Wilmslow RUFC is an open purely amateur community based club offering a game to anyone coming through the gates from the age of six upwards. Wilmslow RUFC is an open purely amateur community based club offering a game to anyone coming through the gates from the age of six upwards. We pride ourselves on our links with the University, colleges and the local schools to develop the game in the community and, by good coaching and direction, develop the characters of the players going through our system. We must congratulate here Wilmslow High School on achieving 'Special Sports College' Status and their work in the community.
Wilmslow RUFC has four main pitches, floodlights, several mini pitches plus an all weather running track in a superb setting. It is home to four- sometimes five senior sides, twelve junior and colt sides, a running and squash club and provides training facilities when needed for local schools and football clubs.
As an amateur club, subscriptions, bar taking and social events are not enough to maintain this wonderful venue for sport. We have to acknowledge all those organisations led by the Wilmslow Half Marathon and our principal sponsors - N.E.A.; The Prima Hotel Group and Astra-Zeneca plus many others, who have supported the club and without them, we just would not be here.
Please enjoy the Wilmslow RUFC website and we would appreciate your comments. We look forward to seeing you at one of our games.
